My teenage daughter soon developed a chronic ear infection. After treating her with antibiotics and anti-histamines the problem persisted, so we had her checked by a Naturopath. We were told she was allergic to the histamine containing casein's in milk. I replied that she had been drinking milk all her life and the only change was now we were buying milk in the store, since we no longer had a neighbor with milk cows. The doctor said “take her off store bought milk and her allergies will go away”, and they did immediately. He said the raw milk contained good bugs and was much easier to digest. He also told me to read the book Don’t Drink Your Milk, by Dr. Frank Oski.
This caused me to look for a milk alternative as we were drinking about 6 gallons per week. We were dissatisfied with the quality or taste of the whey or soy products we tried or the company that made them. My wife and I eventually started BestLife International, Inc.
